The 14-Day Student Self-Wellness, Experiential & Volunteer Program with an Optional 3–7 Day Safari Extension is a transformative journey designed to nurture personal growth, cultural understanding, and social responsibility. Set in Kenya, this immersive program blends wellness, community engagement, cultural exchange, environmental awareness, and adventure into one meaningful experience.
Participants begin their journey in Nairobi, staying at a nature-inspired eco-camp in Karen, where they gradually ease into Kenyan life through orientation, reflection, and guided city experiences. The program emphasizes hands-on learning—from interacting with wildlife conservation initiatives and social enterprises to volunteering in schools, children’s homes, and local homesteads.
Beyond community service, the program incorporates self-wellness and reflection, allowing students time to slow down, connect with nature, and gain new perspectives. Scenic excursions to tea farms, the Rift Valley, Nyahururu Falls, and agro-tourism farms expose participants to Kenya’s diverse landscapes and sustainable livelihoods.
Cultural immersion is a key pillar of the experience. Students engage with local traditions through church fellowship, shared meals with host communities, visits to Bomas of Kenya, and even a lively matatu ride that offers an authentic taste of urban Kenyan life.
The journey concludes with an optional multi-day safari, giving participants the chance to explore Kenya’s iconic national parks, witness wildlife in its natural habitat, and reflect on their experience before departure. Overall, this program is ideal for students seeking purpose-driven travel, personal development, and a deeper connection to people, culture, and nature.
